Welcome

The Working Group on Freshwater and Restoration Ecology at Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences investigates ecological processes in freshwater systems and the habitat requirements and use of aquatic biota. Our work focuses on combining field-based research in lotic systems with experimental, modelling, and assessment-based approaches. Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Johannes Radinger, we pursue a practice-oriented research strategy in close collaboration with local stakeholders to provide scientifically grounded foundations for the sustainable use, protection, and restoration of freshwater ecosystems.
